A match cut is a film editing technique that connects two different shots by using visual or auditory similarities to create a seamless transition. The connection can be based on objects, shapes, actions, or even sound, and is used to create thematic links, convey continuity, or evoke a specific emotion.

Graphic match cuts
A graphic match cut is when two shots are linked by similar visual elements, such as shape and color.
Movement
A movement match cut is where two different scenes match by motion or action from the first shot to a similar motion or action in the second shot.
Audio
The audio match cut is an editing technique that connects two different scenes by using similar or continuous sound elements.

First Attempt
This video uses a movement match cut to create a smooth transition between scenes. But it’s technically not a match cut so I view why it wasn’t and then tried again.
Second Attempt

This video I used inspiration from a movie scene that is shown above. This is graphic match cut as the scenes are visually similar and create a traction to the next scene.
